UNION BRIDGE

4877

WHEREAS a petition has been presented to the Mayor
and Council of the Town of Onion Bridge to enlarge the
corporate boundaries of the Town by the annexation of a
parcel of land contiguous to and adjoining the existing
corporate boundaries of Union Bridge; and

WHEREAS the Mayor and Council have caused to be made
a verification of the signatures upon said Petition and
have ascertained that the persons signing the Petition
represent at least twenty—five per cent (25%) of the
persons who reside in the area to be annexed and who are
registered voters in County elections in the precinct in
which the territory to be annexed is located and the
owners of at least twenty—five per cent (25%) of the
assessed valuation of the real property located in the
area to be annexed;

IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of
The Town of Union Bridge that the following described
parcel of land be and become a part thereof; namely:

Beginning for the same at the point of intersection
of the northerly corporate limits of the Town of Union
Bridge as determined in 1964, with the westerly right of
way line of Maryland State Route 75 (Main Street), and
thence, with a portion of said northerly corporate
limits, (1) South 79 degrees 29' 00" east 291.40 feet to
a point, thence, to include a portion of the lands of

George J. Phillips and the land of Charles Edward Myers,
(2) North 25 degrees 19' 00" east 485.00 feet to a point
in the 9th or closing line of the land conveyed unto
Milton M. Amey, et ux, by deed of George J. Phillips, et
ux, dated February 27, 1968 and recorded in Liber 433,
Folio 708, and 221.75 feet from the end of said 9th line,
thence, reversely with a portion of said 9th line, (3)
South 67 degrees 25' 00" East 128.25 feet to an iron
pipe, thence, reversely with the 8th and a portion of the
7th lines therein, (4) South 57 degrees 38' 00" East
155.04 feet to an iron pipe, (5) North 16 degrees 52' 00"
East 270.00 feet to a point in the rear of the lands
conveyed unto E. L. Sprague, thence, with the rear or
Southerly lines of the Sprague and Davis lands so as to
include said lands, (6) South 80 degrees 43' 00" East
446.59 feet to a point, (7) North 24 degrees 27' 00" East
74.77 feet to a point, on the Southerly right of way line
of Maryland State Route 75, thence, diagonally across
said road, (8) North 36 degrees 01' 18" West 292.09 feet
to a point, thence, two lines to include the lands of the
Union Bridge Clothing Company, (9) North 12 degrees 30'
00" East 1626.91 feet, (10) North 77 degrees 33' 00" West
199.91 feet, thence, along the land of William R. Erb in
Liber 460, Folio 455, (11) North 12 degrees 30' 00" East
231.40 feet to a point on the Northerly side of the Bark
Hill Road, and passing over a three-fourth inch iron pipe
