MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

CHARTER AMENDMENT

WHEREAS, the Town of North Beach, Calvert County,
Maryland, a public body corporate, has determined that it
is necessary to amend the Charter of the Town of North
Beach;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Town Council
of North Beach that the Charter of the Town of North
Beach be amended as follows:

Delete Section 61 of the Town Charter under the
title "Personnel" Sub titled (Town Clerk) in its entirety
and substitute in lieu thereof the following:

"Section 61: Town Clerk:

A Town Clerk shall be appointed in accordance
with the Merit System Ordinance who shall serve as Clerk
to the Council. His/Her compensation shall be
established in accordance with the salary schedule which
is an integral part of the Merit System Ordinance.
He/She shall attend meetings of the Council and keep a
full and accurate account of the proceedings of the
Council. He/She shall keep such other records and
perform such other duties as he/she may be required by
this Charter or by the Council."
