(3)        no petition for referendum relating to the
Resolution and meeting the requirements of the aforesaid
Section 13 was filed within the time permitted thereby;

(4)          copies of the Resolution and of this
certificate shall be filed with the Secretary of State of
Maryland, the Department of Legislative Reference, the
Cleric of the Circuit Court for Carroll County, and the
archivist of the Hall of Records; and

(5)            the amendment to the Charter of The Town of
New Windsor enacted by this Resolution became and is
hereby declared to have become effective November 20,
1974, and constitutes Charter Amendment 1974—2 thereto.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto affixed my
official signature and the Seal of The Town of New
Windsor as of the 11th day of December, 1974.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the Town of North Beach, Calvert County,
Maryland, a public body corporate, has determined that it
is necessary to amend the Charter of the Town of North
Beach;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Town Council of
North Beach that the Charter of the Town of North Beach
be amended as follows:

Delete Section 205(18)(b) in its entirely and
substitute in lieu thereof the following:

"(b) The Mayor may appoint committee members and
designate Chairmen of such committees consistent with the
Ordinances of the Town."

THIS RESOLUTION SHALL TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY.
