AN ACT concerning

Charles County - County Commissioners

FOR the purpose of setting the time when the terms of the
County Commissioners begin in Charles County.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

The Public Local Laws of Charles County
Section 25

Article 9 — Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1969 Edition and 1972 Supplement, as amended)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 25 of the Public Local Laws of
Charles County being Article 9 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1969 Edition and 1972 Supplement,
as amended) be and it is hereby repealed and re—enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

Article 9

25.

There shall be three County Commissioners for
Charles County who shall be elected at the general
election held in 1962 and every four years thereafter,
for terms of four years. THE TERM OF THE COMMISSIONERS
SHALL BEGIN ON THE FIRST TUESDAY OF DECEMBER FOLLOWING
THE GENERAL ELECTION OR AS SOON AFTERWARDS AS CERTIFIED
BY THE GOVERNOR.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
