County, Maryland, the following information concerning
the Charter Amendment:

(1)   the complete text of the Charter Amendment
Resolution that is hereby enacted;

(2)    the date of the referendum election, if any,
held with respect thereto;

(3)   the number of votes cast for and against the
question contained in the Charter Amendment, whether by
the Council of the Town of La Plata or in referendum;

(4)   the effective date of the Charter Amendment;

(5)   descriptions of the corporate limits of the
Town of La Plata prior to and after the effective date of
this Charter Amendment Resolution.

SECTION SIX

BE IT     FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Executive

Officer of the Town of La Plata be and is hereby
specifically enjoined and instructed to carry out the

provisions of Section Five hereof. As evidence of

compliance herewith, the said Chief Executive Officer

shall cause to be filed among the permanent records of

the Town of La Plata:

(1)    appropriate certificates of publication of the
newspaper in which the title of this resolution shall
have been published,

(2)    the return receipts of the mailing referred to
in Section Five.

RESOLUTION NO. 74-4

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ANNEXATION OF
APPROXIMATELY 73.98 ACRES OF CONTIGUOUS LAND WITHIN THE
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF LA PLATA.

WHEREAS, the Town of La Plata has received a written
petition from the Charles County Board of Education to
extend the boundaries of the Town; and

WHEREAS, the Town has verified that said petition
conforms with the requirements of section 19(c) Article
23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (ACM) 1957 Edition,
