MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

by statute cause to be introduced a resolution proposing
the change of boundaries as requested by the petition:

SECTION ONE

BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of
La Plata that the Charter of the Town of La Plata be
amended by adding a new section 2—F, to follow
immediately after section 2-E, which would be section
236E in the Code of Public Local Laws of Charles County
(1969 Edition), providing for the enlargement of the
corporate boundaries of the Town of La Plata by including
the following area, that is added to the Town of La
Plata:

Being the same land described in the following Deeds
recorded among the land records of Charles County,
Maryland, as Charles County 217/211; 216/311; 214/230;
211/677; 211/426; 211/431; 211/235; 208/590; 236/423;
Board of Education of Charles County 172/38 8 and 152/277.

The legal description of the area to be annexed is:
Beginning for the same at the point of intersection of
the east right of way line of Oak Avenue and the existing
corporate boundary of the Town of La Plata; running
thence with the east right of way line of said Oak Avenue
S 15 deg 41 min E — 230 feet to a pipe; thence S 87 deg
48 min E — 175,85 feet to a pipe; thence S 14 deg 46 min
E - 627.31 feet to a pipe; thence N 81 deg 25 min E - 40
feet to a pipe; thence S 13 deg 24 min E - 222.47 feet to
a pipe fixed in the north right of way line of Patuxent
Drive, thence in a westerly direction along the north
right of way line of Patuxent Drive - 1175 feet to a
point of intersection of the west right of way line of
the Penn Central Railroad; thence in a southernly
direction along the west right of way line of the Penn
Central Railroad to a point of intersection with the
south right of way line of Patuxent Drive; thence in an
easterly direction along the south right of way line of
said Patuxent Drive - 1300 feet; thence in an easterly
direction to a pipe in the east side of Patuxent Drive;
then S 14 deg 17 min E - 439.6 feet to a pipe; then S 79
deg 10 min E - 1128.50 feet to a pipe; thence N 10 deg 50
min E — 771.84 feet to a pipe; thence S 73 deg 57 min E -
817.59 feet; thence N 15 deg 02 min W - 223.4 feet;
thence N 09 deg 30 min W - 288.7 feet; thence N 15 deg 25
min W - 455.4 feet; thence N 10 deg 46 min W - 183 feet;
thence N 86 deg 25 min 48 sec W. - 2420 feet to the point
of beginning containing (73.98) acres, more or less.

SECTION TWO

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all of the territory
hereby annexed into the Town of La Plata be zoned R—1
