(2) the consent of owners of not less than 25% of
the assessed valuation of real property located in the
area to be annexed.

SECTION ONE

BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of La
Plata that the Charter of the Town of La Plata be amended
by adding a new Section 2—E to follow immediately after
Section 2—D which would be Section 236—D in the Code of
Public Local Laws of Charles County (1969 edition),
providing for the enlargement of the corporate boundaries
of the Town of La Plata by including the following area
that is added to the Town of La Plata, being the same
land described in the following deeds recorded among the
land records of Charles County, Maryland, as indicated:

east side of said right—of—way north 03 degrees 03
minutes 33 seconds west — 742.78 feet; thence north 03
degrees 07 minutes 35 seconds west - 554.90 feet; thence
