HAMPSTEAD

as the Charter amendments hereby proposed shall become
effective either as herein provided or following a
referendum, the Mayor shall send separately by registered
mail to the Secretary of State of the State of Maryland
and to the Department of Legislative Reference, the
following information concerning the Charter amendment.

a.    The complete text, as approved, of the
amendment.

b.  The date of the referendum election, if any,
held with respect hereto.

c.   The number of votes cast for and against the
question of this amendment whether by the Mayor and
Council or in a referendum,

d.  The effective date of this charter amendment.
Adopted this 21st day of October, 1974.

To be effective December 10, 1974.

Section 62 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Carroll
County is Section 25 of the Charter of the Town of
Hampstead.

RESOLUTION NO. 7 4-3

CHAPTER AMENDMENT NO. 2
"Minimum Age of Twenty-five for Councilmen"

A resolution of the Mayor and Council of The Town of
Hampstead, Maryland, adopted pursuant to the authority of
Article 11-E of the Constitution of the State of
Maryland, and Section 13 of Article 23-A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, 1957 edition as amended, to amend the
Charter of The Town of Hampstead, this amendment to be
entitled "Minimum Age of Twenty-five for Councilmen,"
such being the second amendment to that charter, by
repealing and re—enacting with amendments Section 43
"Qualifications" of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Carroll County, 1965 edition as amended, said amendment
to establish a minimum age of twenty-five years as a
qualification for councilmen of the town.
