MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

1031.05 feet, marking the northwesterly side line of the
Easton Parkway), south 38 degrees, 44 minutes West
1365.25 feet to the place of beginning, containing an
area of 15.529 acres.

The land described above being more particularly
shown upon a map by J.R. McCrone, Jr., Inc. and entitled
"Parcel of Land (Part of 'West Galloway') to be annexed
by the Town of Easton, Maryland, Scale: 1" = 200' dated
May, 1974."

RESOLUTION NO. 4321

WHEREAS, A Petition for Annexation has been filed by
Peter S. Thompson, pursuant to Section 19, Article 23A,
Annotated Code of Maryland; and

WHEREAS, The Town of Easton has verified that the
area proposed to be pursuant to said Petition is in fact
contiguous and adjacent to the existing corporate area;
and that the Petitioner is the owner of over twenty—five
percent of the assessed valuation of the real property
located in said area to be annexed; and

WHEREAS, Said Petition has been joined by Donald and
B. Jane Swann, the only residents of the area to be
annexed, conditioned upon exemption of the property upon
which they reside from Town real property taxes until
such time as the town has extended water and sewer
service to such property;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF EASTON, That enlargement of the corporation
boundaries of the Town of Easton be and is hereby
proposed, by annexation of the area comprised within the
boundaries described below and by changing the Town
boundaries in accordance with the following description:

ALL that tract adjoining the southwesterly corporate
boundary of the Town of Easton in the Easton Election
District, Talbot County, Maryland, containing 174.358
acres according to a survey made by J. R. McCrone, Jr.,
Inc., dated April 15, 1969, and bounded on the north by
the existing Town Boundaries of Easton, and on the west
by Maryland Route 565, on the south by properties of
James M. Warner and Henry M. Witt, Inc., which two
properties are within the Town boundaries, and on the
east by Maryland Highway No. 333.
