MUNICIPAL CHARTERS
§ 32B CONDEMNATION.
THE CITY MAY CONDEMN PROPERTY OF ANY KIND, OR
INTEREST HEREIN OR FRANCHISE CONNECTED THEREWITH, IN FEE
OR AS AN EASEMENT, WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF COLLEGE PARK, FOP ANY PUBLIC PURPOSE. ANY
ACTIVITY, PROJECT, OR IMPROVEMENT AUTHORIZED BY THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS CHARTER OR ANY OTHER STATE LAW
APPLICABLE TO THE CITY OF COLLEGE PARK IS A PUBLIC
PURPOSE. THE MANNER OF PROCEDURE IN CASE OF ANY
CONDEMNATION PROCEEDING SHALL BE THAT ESTABLISHED BY
ARTICLE 21 OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF THE PUBLIC GENERAL
LAWS OF MARYLAND (1957 EDITION, 1973 REPLACEMENT VOLUME)
AND ACTS AMENDATORY THEREOF OR SUPPLEMENTARY THERETO.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of
the City of College Park, Maryland, that the aforegoing
proposed amendment shall be posted at the Municipal
Center, 4500 Knox Road, College Park, Maryland, for a
period of at least forty days following its adoption and
shall further be published in the Prince George's Post
once in each of four successive weeks before the 22nd day
of September, 1974.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of
the City of College Park, Maryland, that the proposed
amendment will come and be considered part of the
municipal charter of the City of College Park, on the 2nd
day of October, 1974, unless a petition is filed pursuant
to Article 23A, Section 13 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, 1957 Edition, as amended, said petition to be
filed on or before the 22nd day of September, 1974.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of
the City of College Park that the foregoing Resolution be
and the same is hereby adopted this 13th day of August,
1974.
CHARTER RESOLUTION 74-CR-3
A resolution to amend Article XI, Section 30, of the
Charter of the City of College Park, entitled Police
Force, to authorize the city to provide police services
by other than the city's own police force, and to specify
the powers of such police and to reflect the change from
Magistrate System to Commissioner System,
WHEREAS, the City of College Park is desirous of
amending its Charter to authorize the use of police other
than the City's own police force, and to specify the
enforcement authority of said police and to reflect the
