BOARD OF MANAGERS SHALL NOT EXPEND FOR MATERIAL,
EQUIPMENT OR WORK WHICH REQUIRES AN INDEPENDENT
CONTRACTOR OR SUPPLIER, A SUM EXCEEDING THREE THOUSAND
($3,000.00) DOLLARS WITHOUT FIRST HAVING PREPARED THE
SPECIFICATIONS THEREFOR, AND INVITING BIDS FOR THE SAME
AFTER WHICH SAID BOARD OF MANAGERS MAY PURCHASE SUCH
MATERIAL OR EQUIPMENT, OR MAKE CONTRACT FOR SUCH WORK OR
MATERIAL AS IT MAY DEEM BEST; Provided, however, that
this resolution be posted at the Town Hall for a period
of at least forty days following the date of its adoption
and provided further that a summary of this resolution be
published in a newspaper of general circulation within
Chevy Chase Village not less than four times at equal
intervals within a period of at least forty days after
the adoption of this resolution.
This amendment shall become effective following the
compliance with the above—mentioned conditions on the
fiftieth day after its having been passed by the board.

RESOLUTION 1-74-1
A RESOLUTION of the Commissioners of Church Creek to
repeal and re—enact Sections 129, 134, 136, and
137 of the Charter of the Town of Church Creek as
codified in the Code of Public Local Laws of
Dorchester County (1961 Edition, being Article 10
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Dorchester County," subtitle "Church
Creek," adopting certain corrective amendments to
the Charter of the Town of Church Creek, relating
generally to the government and affairs of the
Town of Church Creek and adopting these amendments
pursuant to the provisions of Article 11E of the
Constitution of Maryland and of Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland.

Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF
CHURCH CREEK, That Sections 129, 134, 136, and 137 of the
Charter of the Town of Church Creek as codified in the
Code of Public Local Laws of Dorchester County (1961
