"Sec. 25-16 (Reserved)."

Section 3. And be it further resolved that the
amendment proposed in this Resolution shall become and be
considered a part of the Charter of the Town of
Charlestown according to the terms of the amendment, in
all respects to be effective and observed as such, upon

__________________ unless on or

before_________________there shall be presented to the

Board of Commissioners a proper petition for referendum
as permitted by law.

Section 4. And be it further resolved that the
President of the Board of Commissioners of the Town of
Charlestown be, and he is hereby specifically directed to
post a complete and exact copy of this Resolution at the
Town Hall or other main municipal building or public
place for a period of forty days following its adoption
by the Board of Commissioners and to cause a fair summary
of the proposed amendment to be published in a newspaper
of general circulation in the town not less than four
times, at weekly intervals, within a period of at least
forty days after adoption of this Resolution.

Section 5. And be it further resolved that as soon
as the charter amendment hereby proposed shall become
effective either as herein provided or following a
referendum, the President of the Board of Commissioners
of the Town of Charlestown shall send separately by
registered mail to the Secretary of State of Maryland and
to the Department of Legislative Reference; the following
information concerning the charter amendment.

1.      The complete text as approved, of the
amendment.

2.    The date of the referendum election, if any,
held with respect hereto.

3.     The number of votes cast for and against the
question of this amendment whether by the Board of
Commissioners or in a referendum.

4.     The effective date of this charter amendment.

Adopted this 11th day of December, 1974, by the
Commissioners of the Town of Charlestown, by a vote of 4
votes "for" and 0 votes "against" this Resolution.

Approved December 11, 1974.
