MUNICIPAL CHARTERS
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the
date of the adoption of this Resolution is January 8,
1973 and the amendments of the Charter of the Mayor and
Council of Boonsboro shall become effective March 8,
1973, unless proper petition for referendum shall be
filed as permitted by law. Article 23A section 13 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland and provided a copy of this
resolution shall be posted on the bulletin board of the
Town hall for a period of at least 40 days after such
adoption and before said effective date and that a fair
summary of the said amendments shall be published in a
newspaper of general circulation in the town of Boonsboro
not less than four times, at weekly intervals before the
said 8th day of March, 1973
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That as soon
as the Charter Amendments hereby proposed shall become
effective either as herein provided or following a
referendum thereon, the Mayor shall send by registered
mail to the Secretary of State and to the Department of
Legislative Reference the information required by Article
23A section 17 (f) of the Annotated Code of Maryland, and
the Mayor shall upon said amendments becoming effective
so certify by affixing his signature hereto in the space
so provided
I CERTIFY That the Charter amendments proposed by
the aforegoing Resolution became effective this 8th day
of March 1973
AMENDMENT NO. 11
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
BOONSBORO TO AMEND THE TOWN CHARTER
This Resolution of the Council of the Mayor and
Council of Boonsboro, Maryland, is adopted pursuant to
the authority of Article XI—E of the Constitution of the
State of Maryland and Article 23A Section 13 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, to amend the Charter of the
Mayor and Council of Boonsboro as said Charter appears in
the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington County, 1970
Edition, by amending Section 3—4 thereof entitled
"Qualifications of voters and town officers." and
Section 3—5 thereof, entitled "Qualifications of voters."
