Sabbath Observance
STATE ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION LAWS
ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23—11 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the State
Administrative Board of Election Laws does hereby certify
that at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland on November 5, 1974, an Act known as Chapter 652
of the Acts of 1974 was submitted to the voters of
Dorchester County under the provisions of Chapter 652,
said Act being as follows:
AN ACT concerning Dorchester County - Sabbath
Breaking. For the purpose of exempting Dorchester County
from the laws of the State relating to Sabbath Breaking,
except those concerning alcoholic beverages, bowling
alleys, tenpin alleys, duckpin alleys, or poolrooms; and
making this Act subject to the outcome of a referendum.
And it is hereby certified that at said election,
3,066 votes were cast for the adoption of said Chapter
6 52 and 1,548 votes were cast against the adoption of
said Chapter 652, the said Chapter 652 of the Acts of
1974 has therefore been ratified by the qualified voters
of Dorchester County.

Maryland, Done at the City of Annapolis, this 27th day of
November, In the Year of Our Lord, One Thousand, Nine
Hundred and Seventy—Four.
