STATE ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION LAWS
ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23—11 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the State
Administrative Board of Election Laws does hereby certify
that at the Primary Election held in Allegany County,
Maryland on September 10, 1974, an Act known as Chapter
491 of the Acts of 1974 was submitted to the voters of
Allegany County under the provisions of Article XIV,
Chapter 491, said Act being as follows:
AN ACT concerning Allegany County Board of
Education. For the purpose of reconstituting the County
Board of Education for Allegany County; making the Board
an elective board; providing for the election, tenure,
duties, salary and operations of the Board; making the
chairman of the Board of County Commissioners a member ex
officio; and submitting this Act to a referendum of the
qualified voters of Allegany County.
And it is hereby certified that at said election,
5,577 votes were cast for the adoption of said Charter
491 and 2,051 votes were cast against the adoption of
said Chapter 491, the said Chapter 491 of the Acts of
1974 has been ratified by the qualified voters of
Allegany County.
