Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17, of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill
803.

This bill provides that a willful and false
affidavit or affirmation made pursuant to the Maryland
District Rules is perjury.

House Bill 599, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on April 22, 1975, accomplishes
the same purpose.

Therefore, it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 803.

AN ACT concerning

Court of Appeals — Writ of Certiorari

FOR the purpose of giving the Court of Appeals power to
