nonnutritious foods in school and report its findings and
recommendations to the State Superintendent of Schools;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to

P.O. Box 8717, Baltimore—Washington Airport, Baltimore,
Maryland 21240.

A House Joint Resolution concerning

Home Owners Warranty

FOR the purpose of urging the Legislative Council to
study a Home Owners Warranty Program which would
extend warranty protection and create minimum
performance standards for construction of homes in
new Subtitle 2A of the Real Property Article of the
Maryland Code.

WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that home
owners must be protected against the shoddy workmanship
of some builders; and

WHEREAS, This sorry state of affairs must be
remedied by effective action by the Legislature of
Maryland; and

WHEREAS, A statute should be proposed which would
specify minimum performance standards; and

WHEREAS, A draft of this statute should read as
follows, and should be sent to the Legislative Council
for further study; and
