No. 26
(Senate Joint Resolution 47)
A Senate Joint Resolution concerning
Coastal Zone Programs
FOR the purpose of requesting the Department of Natural
Resources to prepare a report to be presented to the
Legislative Council by October 15, 1975, describing
the requirements for development of the coastal zone
program that would meet the requirements of the
federal coastal zone management act of 197 2.
Off—shore and on—shore development is a source of
great concern both to the members of this Body and to
members of the general public. Any consideration of this
area must take into consideration the declining
fisheries, the recreational impact, and the [[spoiled]]
continuing spoil dredging problem [[that results from
dredging other areas.]].
This State needs a comprehensive report describing
the requirements for development of the coastal zone
