(d) [It is the duty of the] THE Board of Education
of Prince George's County [to] SHALL comply with all the
buildings regulations adopted by the County Commissioners
for that portion of the Regional District within Prince
George's County. [It is further the duty of the] THE
Board of Education [to] ALSO SHALL provide suitable fire
escapes for all school buildings [heretofore erected and
now] in use [where said] IF THE buildings are more than
one story in height, and also [to] provide suitable fire
escapes for all [said] THE buildings now in course of
construction or hereafter [to be] erected. [In the event
of the failure of] IF the Board of Education FAILS to
comply with the provisions of this subheading, the County
Commissioners of Prince George's County [has the power
to] MAY contract for the doing of [such] THE work and
[may] deduct the cost thereof from the amount levied for
the support of schools in Prince George's County.

[97.] 8-119.

No permit for the erection of any building within a
subdivision within the Regional District [shall] MAY be
issued unless the road giving access to the lot upon
which the building is proposed to be located [shall have]
HAS the legal status of a public road or [shall have
been] WAS dedicated to public use on May 24, 1939, or
corresponds in its exact location with the road shown on
a subdivision plat approved by the Commission [,] or with
a master plan of highways or plat adopted by the
Commission, or is on a private right—of—way or easement
approved as adequate by the governing body of the county
in which [such] THE private right—of—way or easement is
located.

[98.] 8-120.

(a) No building or other structure [shall] MAY be
erected or structurally altered in the Regional District
without the issuance of a building permit, and no [such]
permit [shall] MAY be given except in conformity with the
provisions of this Article and of the regulations enacted
by the respective District Councils. In that portion of
the Regional District in Prince George's County,
construction or structural alteration of a building or
structure [shall] MAY not begin until and unless the
building permit is approved by the Commission as to
zoning requirements and as to the requirements of Section
[97] 8-114 of this [subheading] TITLE. No building
permit [shall be] IS required for buildings and
structures to be used exclusively for purposes of
agriculture upon land used exclusively for agriculture.
