premises in Cecil County remain open for at least a
certain period each year or have their license
revoked; and clarifying language.
BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,
Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages
Section 18 (a), (h) and 32 (h)
Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 18 (a), (h) and 32 (h) of Article
2B — Alcoholic Beverages, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be
and they are hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages
18.
(a) A Class A beer, wine and liquor license shall be
issued by the clerk of the circuit court of the county in
which the place of business is located, or by the clerk
of the Court of Common Pleas of Baltimore City, if the
place of business is located in [said] THAT city, and
shall authorize the holder [thereof] to keep for sale and
to sell all alcoholic beverages at retail, in any
quantity, at the place therein described, and to deliver
the same in a sealed package or container which package
or container shall not be opened nor its contents
consumed on the premises where sold. The annual fee for
such a license shall be [five hundred dollars ($500.00)]
$500, except as otherwise provided in this section, and
in all cases the fee shall be payable to [said] THE clerk
before any such license is issued, for distribution as
hereinafter provided.
(h) In Cecil County the license fee shall be [five
hundred dollars ($500.00)]$750 annually[, and no such
license shall be issued in that county except to retail
druggists and grocers who have conducted such business at
least one year prior to application for such license].
