MARYLAND, That Section 9C[[(f)]] (g) of Article 81 -
Revenue and Taxes, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1969 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it
is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:
Article 81 — Revenue and Taxes
9C.
[[(f)(1) In Calvert County [[and]], Carroll
County, ALLEGANY COUNTY, BALTIMORE COUNTY, FREDERICK
COUNTY, GARRETT COUNTY, KENT COUNTY, AND QUEEN ANNE'S
COUNTY from county taxation only, real property owned by
a nonprofit community or civic improvement association or
corporation, which is devoted to and used exclusively for
community, civic, educational, or library purposes, and
where such use is not contingent upon the payment of any
fee or other compensation, and failure to pay any such
fee or other compensation is not a reason to deny
admission to or use of this property. Assessments
exacted and employed by the association or corporation
solely for the improvement or maintenance of the property
are not "fees or other compensation" under the terms of
this paragraph.
(2) IN CARROLL COUNTY, ALLEGANY COUNTY, BALTIMORE
COUNTY, FREDERICK COUNTY, GARRETT COUNTY, KENT COUNTY,
AND QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY, FROM COUNTY TAXATION ONLY, SILOS
USED [[PREDOMINATELY]] FOR PROCESSING OR STORAGE OF
ANIMAL FEED INCIDENTAL TO THE OPERATION OF THE FARM ON
WHICH THE SILO IS LOCATED.]]
(g) In Cecil County, (1) real and tangible
personal property owned by the Society for the
Preservation of Maryland Antiquities, Inc.; AND (2) real
and tangible personal property owned by the Friends of
the Library of Cecil County, Maryland, Inc. [: and (3)
silos used predominantly for processing or storage of
animal feed incidental to operation of the farm on which
the silo is located].
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 19(a)(9) be and it is hereby added to Article 81
— Revenue and Taxes, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1969 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) to read as
follows:
