Article 64A — Merit System

48A.

(A)    ANY EMPLOYEE OF A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION IN
MARYLAND , AS DEFINED IN SECTION 9 OF ARTICLE 23A, WHO
PARTICIPATES IN THE STATE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM
MAY PARTICIPATE , WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE GOVERNING BODY
OF THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION[.] in the State Employees'
Health Insurance Program and shall be subsidized by the
Municipal Corporation to the same extent that state
employees who participate in the Health Insurance Program
are Subsidized.

(B)    The Secretary of Personnel shall promulgate
rules and regulations necessary for the effective and
efficient implementation of the provisions of this
section.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

AN ACT concerning

Bicycle Trails

FOR the purpose of enunciating a State policy to develop
bicycle trails; requiring the inclusion of plans for
the trails in the State Highway Administration's
Secondary Highway Program plans; and encouraging
counties and municipal corporations to develop
bicycle trails when expending highway user revenue
funds, and making stylistic changes.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

Section 38B(a), (b), (c), (f) and 211-I(b)
