with respect to which the dividend is paid, [[EXCEPT AS
PROVIDED BY LAW, RULE, OR REGULATION,]] A PENALTY OR
SERVICE CHARGE MAY NOT BE ASSESSED ON ANY FREE SHARE
ACCOUNT OF LESS THAN $25.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 2-318 of Article 66 1/2 - Vehicle
Laws, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement
Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
