controlled rest and recreation areas and sanitary and
other facilities within or adjacent to the highway
right—of—way necessary to accommodate the traveling
public.

(B) THE ADMINISTRATION MAY PROMULGATE RULES
AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE CONTROL AND USE OF REST
AREAS, SCENIC OVERLOOKS, ROADSIDE PICNIC AREAS AND OTHER
PUBLIC USE AREAS WITHIN INTERSTATE OR OTHER STATE HIGHWAY
RIGHTS-OF-WAY. ALL SUCH RULES AND REGULATIONS SHALL BE
CONSISTENT WITH THE SAFETY AND WELFARE OF THE TRAVELING
PUBLIC.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

Corporations, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
