to construct or improve county roads with its own forces
out of county funds regardless of the source of such
funds, provided the estimated cost of any such proposed
project [shall not exceed $6,500.] MAY NOT EXCEED
[[$25,000]] [[$6,500]] $12,500.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

AN ACT concerning

State Board of Cosmetologists

FOR the purpose of modifying the definitions of beauty
culture, manicurists, operators, owners,
electrologists, and cosmeticians; establishing an
owner—manager's certificate of registration and

revising requirements for certificates____of

registration for beauty shops: amending eligibility
requirements for manicurists; deleting the
certificate of registration for the practice of
trichology; modifying reciprocal licensing
requirements and certain training requirements;
providing for inclusion of courses for specialized
schools of education; increasing the per diem
compensation of the board; permitting summons for
hearings by certified mail; amending quorum
requirements for the board; clarifying and
correcting certain language; and relating generally
to the practice of beauty culture in the State of
Maryland.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,
