LAWS OF MARYLAND

[Ch. 563

Department of State Planning; Section 5 (P)(5)(f) in said
Chapter 195 and found on page 312 of the Laws of 1973,
making available $50,000 for State Colleges, Morgan State
College (Baltimore City), installation of street lighting
for South campus; Section 5 (T)(1)(a) in said Chapter 195
and found on page 315 of the Laws of 1973, making
available $12,500 for Department of Economic and
Community Development, St. Mary's City Commission, for
preparation of preliminary plans and specifications for
the construction of a Visitor Center Complex contingent
upon the approval by the Board of Public Works of the
site and the acquisition of the necessary land. The
aforementioned items are described by reference, but each
such reference shall be deemed to include the full
description of the item as set forth in the respective
sections of Chapter 195 of the Laws of 1973. There shall
be allowed an additional period of two years beginning on
the effective date of this Act, for placing the
aforementioned projects under contract. If said projects,
or any of them shall not have been placed under contract
within a period of two years beginning on the effective
date of this Act, then, as to any such project not so
placed under contract, it shall be deemed to have been
abandoned, and the other provisions of Section 10 of
Chapter 195 of the Laws of 1973 shall be fully effective
as to such project.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section
5(D) (11A) (a) of Chapter 195 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1973 be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows;

5(D)

(11A) Sandy Point State Park (Anne Arundel County)

(a) Study and Development of a comprehensive
Master Plan for Sandy Point State Park with the
participation of the Department of State Planning,

Department of General Services,____Department____of

Transportation, and Anne Arundel County. The following
factors shall be given fall consideration (along with
other normal considerations) in determining the
facilities to be included in the Park; the impact the
new Bay Bridge and State highway from Baltimore will have
on the area: special zoning controls needed to control
commercial enterprise in the area; the impact of Park
user traffic on State highways in the area; and
facilities Anne Arundel County desires within the park.

[[AND CONSTRUCTION OF FACILITIES.....]] No design or

construction of additional facilities shall commence
until the above mentioned masterplan is completed and no
construction shall commence without approval by the
General Assembly.
