it has not been possible to secure a satisfactory
screening test, the person in charge of the institution
or his designated representative shall notify in writing
the parents advising then to have administered to such
infant a test for phenylketonuria by the private
physician or local health department, with a copy of the
letter being sent to the private physician and local
health department. It shall further be the
responsibility of the person in charge of the institution
or his designated representative to determine that a
satisfactory test has been subsequently performed. The
test and the recording of the results of the test shall
be performed at such times and in such manner as the
Board may direct. This requirement shall not apply to
any child whose parent or parents object to the
administration of the test on the grounds that the same
would violate their religious beliefs.]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, [[1975]] 1976.
