ADMINISTERED BY THE EMPLOYMENT SECURITY ADMINISTRATION OF
THE DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND SOCIAL SERVICES.
Notwithstanding anything contained in this Section the
Board of Public Works may authorize additional temporary
positions to meet public emergencies resulting from an
act of God and violent acts of men which are necessary to
protect the health and safety of the people of Maryland.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and
necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
health and safety and having been passed by a yea and nay
vote supported by three-fifths of all the members elected
to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the
same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT concerning
Calvert County — Proceeds of Bond Sale
FOR the purpose of providing that proceeds of the sale of
certain bonds shall be paid out by the Treasurer of
Calvert County only on warrants from the County
Commissioners, which warrants shall be issued only
upon proper vouchers presented by the Fire and
Rescue Commission.
BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,
Chapter 829 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1974

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 4 of Chapter 829 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1974 be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
