not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) and the
costs; the] IS SUBJECT TO A FINE NOT EXCEEDING $500, OR
IMPRISONMENT NOT EXCEEDING THREE MONTHS, OR BOTH. THE
prosecution of such offenders shall be made and
proceedings instituted by the landowner or tenant of the
property unlawfully entered. [Any person convicted under
the provision of this section who at the time of said
conviction is the holder of a license for hunting any
wild bird or animal under the provisions of Title 10 of
the Natural Resources Article of the Code, shall have his
license revoked immediately upon conviction for a period
Of one year] ANY PERSON WHO IS CONVICTED OF VIOLATING THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION AND WHO CARRIED ANY FIREARM OR
BOW AND ARROW AT THE TIME OF THE VIOLATION SHALL HAVE HIS
HUNTING LICENSE REVOKED FOR ONE YEAR IMMEDIATELY ON
CONVICTION. ANY PERSON WHO IS CONVICTED OF VIOLATING THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION AND WAS CARRYING A FISHING ROD
OR NET AT THE TIKE OF THE VIOLATION SHALL HAVE ANY
FISHING LICENSE REVOKED FOR ONE YEAR IMMEDIATELY ON
CONVICTION. [Any] IF THE person [who is] DOES not [the
holder of such] HOLD a license [shall] HE MAY not be
issued [a] THE APPROPRIATE license until one year after
any conviction under the provisions of this section.

[[SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 576A be and it is hereby added to Article 27 —
Crimes and Punishments, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) to read as
follows:

Article 27 — crimes and Punishments

576 A.

(A) IN THIS SECTION "LANDOWNER" MEANS ANY
PERSON WHO OWNS THE LAND, OR HIS FAMILY, HIS LESSEE, AND
AUTHORIZED AGENTS AND EMPLOYERS OF THE OWNER. IF THE
LAND IS OWNED BY MORE THAN ONE PERSON, THEN ANY OWNER BY
HIMSELF MAY POST THE LAND.

(B) A LANDOWNER IS CONSIDERED TO HAVE POSTED HIS
PROPERTY AGAINST TRESPASS WHEN HE PERFORMS ALL THE
FOLLOWING ACTS:

(1)     HE PLACES SIGNS NOT MOPE THAN 100 YARDS
APART ALONG THE BOUNDARIES OF THE LAND, INCLUDING EACH
CORNER, AND IN A MANNER AND POSITION SO THAT THE SIGNS
ARE CLEARLY NOTICEABLE FROM OUTSIDE OF THE BOUNDARY LINE
AND THE WORDS "NO TRESPASSING" APPEAR PROMINENTLY ON EACH
SIGN IN LETTERS AT LEAST TWO INCHES IN HEIGHT;

(2) HE FILES A PLAT CERTIFIED BY A NOTARY
PUBLIC WITH THE NATURAL RESOURCES POLICE FORCE SHOWING
