Crimes and Punishments — Sex Discrimination

FOR the purpose of extending certain provisions of the
criminal law now applicable to members of a
particular sex to members of both sexes; [[making
certain rights and penalties under the bigamy law
applicable to both sexes; repealing a certain
forfeiture provision under the bigamy law;]] making
certain prohibitions, rights and exemptions under
the false insignia laws applicable to both sexes and
to sororal organizations; extending the crime of
pandering to include certain acts done with
reference to males; making style changes, deleting
obsolete references; repealing references to certain
minimum penalties; and relating generally to the
application of certain criminal laws to members of
both sexes.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

Section [[17,]] 182, 426, 427, 428, 429, 430, 431

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections [[17,]] 182, 426, 427, 428, 429,
430, 431 and 432 of Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement
Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and they are hereby
repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
