10-601.
(a) In this subtitle the following words have the
meanings indicated.
(b) "Blind site" means a specific location in the
water where a person may hunt wild waterfowl from any
boat or raft which is tied to or anchored at a stake and
is not a permanent structure.
(c) "Boat or floating blind" means a boat, including
a raft or float, which is anchored but not permanently
located.
(d) "Body booting" means standing in water and
hunting wild waterfowl.
(E) "BUSHWACKING" OR THE USE OF A "BUSHWACK RIG"
MEANS ONLY THE HUNTING OF WILD WATERFOWL WHILE THE BOAT
IS DRIFTING OR BEING SCULLED.
[(e)] (F) "Gunning rig" means any boat or raft not
under power used for hunting wetland game birds, except a
sink box, and includes a body booting rig, boat or
floating blind, bushwack rig, canoe, rowboat, skiff, or
sneak boat.
(G) "SNEAKBOATING" OR THE USE OF A "SNEAKBOAT"
MEANS ONLY THE HUNTING OF WILD WATERFOWL WHILE THE BOAT
IS DRIFTING OR BEING SCULLED.
[(f)] (H) "Stationary blind" means a permanent
offshore structure built on piling or stakes and used for
hunting wild waterfowl.

(a) A person may not hunt or purposely, or
unnecessarily disturb wild waterfowl from or in a boat of
any description within the state. HOWEVER, A PERSON MAY
USE A GUNNING RIG, WHICH IS COMMONLY KNOWN AS A SNEAK
BOAT OR BUSHWACK RIG, IN THE HUNTING OF WILD WATERFOWL ON
THE WATERS OF THE SUSQUEHANNA FLATS, ELK AND SASSAFRAS
RIVERS IN CECIL COUNTY, MONOCACY RIVER IN CARROLL OR
FREDERICK COUNTY, AND ON THE WATERS OF THE POTOMAC RIVER
IN GARRETT, ALLEGANY, WASHINGTON, FREDERICK AND
MONTGOMERY COUNTIES AND ON THE WATERS OF CHINCOTEAGUE
BAY, SINEPUXENT BAY, ISLE OF WIGHT, ASSAWOMAN BAY AND
THEIR RESPECTIVE TRIBUTARIES IN WORCESTER COUNTY.
However, this section does not prohibit a person from
immediately retrieving wounded or dead wild waterfowl by
any boat propelled by motor if the bird is wounded or
killed legally. This section does not prohibit hunting
wild waterfowl by boat on state or federally owned or
