MARYLAND, That the provisions of Section 10 of Chapter
195 of the Acts of 1973, be and they are hereby waived,
insofar as they impose a time for placing under contract
the item in Section 5(k)(2)(f) of Chapter 195 of the Acts
of 1973, and found on page 301 of the Acts of 1973, said
item supplementing the appropriation "Convert old soap
shop to Office space" as shown on page 921 of the Acts of
1971, being item 5(H) (2) (a) , making available $125,000
for the Division of Correction, Maryland House of
Correction (Anne Arundel County) , for conversion of the
old soap shop to office space. With the waiver of this
provision as applied to this item, there shall be allowed
an additional period of two years beginning on the
effective date of this Act, for placing this project
under contract. If the project has not been placed under
contract within a period of two years, beginning on the
effective date of this Act, it shall be deemed to have
been abandoned and the other provisions of Section 10 of
Chapter 195 of the Acts of 1973 shall be fully effective
as to such project.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect June 1, 1975.

AN ACT concerning

Bowie State College

FOR the purpose of waiving the provisions of Section 10
of Chapter 195 of the Acts of 1973, said section
relating to the time by which projects contained in
the General Construction Loan of 1973 must be placed
under contract insofar as the provisions of said
section relate to an item contained in said Act for
the State colleges for the construction of a library
for Bowie State College, and repealing and
re—enacting, with amendments, Section 5 (P) (2) (f) of
Chapter 195 of the Acts of 1973, amending the
General Construction Loan of 1973 with particular
reference to an appropriation therein at page 309 of
the Acts of 1973 for the State Colleges, Bowie State
College, redesignating a portion of that
appropriation to provide for the construction of
