AN ACT concerning

County Commissioners — Technical Corrections

FOR the purpose of correcting certain technical errors
relating to county commissioners.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

Article 25 — County Commissioners

Section 3(w) and 162(b)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1973 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 3(w) and 162(b) of Article 25-
County Commissioners, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1973 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it
is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

Article 25 - County Commissioners

(w) To contribute funds to volunteer fire
departments in the [country] COUNTY.

The County Commissioners of Dorchester County shall
pay annually the sum of thirty-nine thousand, five
hundred dollars ($39,500.00) to the several volunteer
fire companies in the county, so long as they remain
active bodies and fire—fighting organizations, for their
benefit. The money shall be used by the respective fire
companies for the support, maintenance, equipment, and
operation of the several fire companies for the purpose
of suppressing fires in the county.

The payment shall be made on the first day of
October in each and every year by the County
