examination license and includes the issuance of the
class of license for which the applicant qualifies within
the period of validity of the instruction and examination
license.

(e) A fee of $1.00 shall be paid for issuance of a
duplicate license.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new

Section 6—111.1 be arid it is hereby added to Article 66
1/2 - Vehicle Laws, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1970 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) to read as
follows:

Article 66 1/2 — Vehicle Laws

6-111.1.

(A)           A FEE OF $10 SHALL BE PAID TO THE
ADMINISTRATION FOR THE ISSUANCE OF AN INSTRUCTION AND
EXAMINATION LICENSE AT THE TIME APPLICATION IS MADE FOR
AN ORIGINAL DRIVER'S LICENSE OR FOR A CLASS OF LICENSE
OTHER THAN THAT CURRENTLY HELD BY THE APPLICANT. THE FEE
SHALL INCLUDE ISSUANCE OF THE INSTRUCTION AND EXAMINATION
LICENSE AND ISSUANCE OF THE DRIVER'S LICENSE FOR WHICH
THE APPLICANT QUALIFIES PRIOR TO EXPIRATION OF THE
INSTRUCTION AND EXAMINATION LICENSE.

(B)          A FEE OF $10 SHALL BE PAID TO THE
ADMINISTRATION FOR THE ISSUANCE OF A DRIVER'S LICENSE AT
THE TIME THE DRIVER'S LICENSE IS ISSUED IN THOSE CASES
WHERE PRIOR ISSUANCE OF AN INSTRUCTION AND EXAMINATION
LICENSE IS NOT REQUIRED.

(C)           A FEE OF $2 SHALL BE PAID TO THE
ADMINISTRATION FOR THE RENEWAL OF ANY CLASS OF DRIVER'S

LICENSE.

(D)           A FEE OF $1 SHALL BE PAID TO THE
ADMINISTRATION FOR ISSUANCE OF A DUPLICATE LICENSE.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and
necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
health and safety and having been passed by a yea and nay
vote supported by three—fifths of all the members elected
to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the
same shall take effect, from the date of its passage.
