Commercial Law, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (As

enacted by Chapter____ (HB 26) of the Acts of the General

Assembly of 1975) be and it is hereby repealed and
re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article — Commercial Law

[[12-301. ]] 12-103.

(b) Loan secured by residential real property — 10
percent maximum.

(1) A lender may charge interest at an
effective rate of simple interest not in excess of 10
percent per annum on the unpaid principal balance of a
loan if:

(iv) The loan is made and the mortgage
or deed of trust is executed after May 31, 1974[, and
before June 2, 1976] AND BEFORE JUNE 2, 1978:

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
