SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 4—1004(g) be and it is hereby added to Article —
Natural Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1974 Supplement) to read as follows:

4-1004.

(G)        A PERSON SHALL POSSESS THE APPROPRIATE LICENSE

WHEN CATCHING, OR ATTEMPTING TO CATCH, OYSTERS OR CLAMS
FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES IN THE WATERS OF THE STATE, AND
UPON DEMAND, SHALL EXHIBIT THE LICENSE TO ANY NATURAL
RESOURCES POLICE OFFICER, LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, OR
DULY AUTHORIZED EMPLOYEE OF THE DEPARTMENT.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

AN ACT concerning

Fish and Fisheries — Clam Dealer's Licenses

FOR the purpose of authorizing the Department of Natural
Resources to issue clam dealer's licenses; providing
for the issuance of temporary licenses; allowing a
resident of Baltimore City to obtain a clam dealer's
license from the clerk of the Court of Common Pleas;
requiring applicants to file an application form
containing certain information; and generally
revising and clarifying the law relating to clam
dealer's licenses.
