UNLESS THE CONTRACT OR AGREEMENT UPON WHICH THE
ACTION IS BROUGHT, OR SOME MEMORANDUM OR NOTE OF IT, IS
IN WRITING AND SIGNED BY THE PARTY TO BE CHARGED, OR SOME
OTHER PERSON LAWFULLY AUTHORIZED BY HIM.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 21 §2-104(b), (c) and (e) of the Code.
Subsection (a) is transferred to the Estates
and Trusts Article and subsection (d) appears
as §5-104 in the Real Property Article.
SECTION [[3]] 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That
the Revisor's Notes contained in this Act shall not
become law or be considered to have been enacted as a
part of this Act.
SECTION [[4]] 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That
this Act shall take effect on July 1, 1974.

AN ACT concerning
Dorchester County - Legalizing Code of Public Local Laws
FOR the purpose of legalizing the 1974 Edition of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Dorchester County,
being Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, published under the direction of the Board
of County Commissioners of Dorchester County and
making provision for the publication, sale, and
distribution of this code.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the 1974 Edition of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Dorchester County, being Article 10 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, published under
the direction of the Board of County Commissioners of
Dorchester County and edited by Carl N. Everstine, is
hereby legalized. The Code shall contain all public
local laws relating to Dorchester County following the
1974 Regular Session of the General Assembly of Maryland,
and it shall contain the charters of the several
municipal corporations within Dorchester County as in
effect on April 1, 1974. The Code shall be deemed and
taken in all the courts of the State and by all public
