MONTGOMERY COUNTY

Sec. 2. This Act shall take effect on the 76th day
following the date on which it becomes law.

Approved July 21, 1972.

Chapter 6

AN ACT to amend Chapter 12, title "Hotels, tourist homes,
trailers, etc.," of the Montgomery County Code 1965,
as amended, by repealing and re—enacting, with
amendments, Section 12—4, title "Penalty for
violation of three preceding sections, etc.," and by
amending Chapter 90, title "Hostels, rooming and
boarding houses and tourist homes," of the
Montgomery County Code 1965, as amended, by
repealing and re—enacting, with amendments. Section
90—12, title "Violations of chapter; Penalties and
injunctive, etc., relief," to provide consistent
penalties for violations of Chapters 12 and 90,
which provide for a maximum fine not to exceed one
hundred dollars and imprisonment not to exceed six
months for violations of the chapters; and to
provide that each day a violation continues shall be
deemed a separate offense.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL FOP MONTGOMERY
COUNTY, MARYLAND, that -

Sec. 1. Section 12-4, Chapter 12, title "Hotels,
tourist homes, trailers,, etc.," of the Montgomery County
Code 1965, as amended, is hereby repealed and re—enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

12—4. Penalty for violation of
Chapter

Any person who violates any of the provisions of
this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof shall be fined not to exceed one
hundred dollars or imprisonment of not more than six
months. Each day such violation shall continue shall be
deemed a separate offense.

Sec. 2. Section 90-12, Chapter 90,, title "Hostels,
rooming and boarding houses and tourist homes," of the
Montgomery County Code 1965, as amended, is hereby
repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
