COUNTY LOCAL LAWS
COUNTY, MARYLAND, That -
Sec. 1. Section 1—17, title "Same — Penalty for
violation of preceding section," of Chapter 1 of the
Montgomery County Code 1965, as amended, is hereby
repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
1—17. Same - Penalty for violation of preceding section.
Any officer or official authorizing the publication
of any report, notice, return, schedule, list of
delinquent taxpayers or any official publication, in
violation of the preceding section, shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more than one
hundred dollars for each violation.
Sec. 2. This Act shall take effect on the 76th day
following the date on which it becomes law.

Chapter 5
AN ACT to amend Chapter 2, title "Administration," of the
Montgomery County Code 1965, as amended, by
repealing and re—enacting, with amendments. Section
2—7, title "Sundays and legal holidays," to provide
that whenever the last day for the performance of
any act under the Code falls on a Sunday or a legal
holiday, then such act may be performed on the next
succeeding day that does not fall on a Sunday or
legal holiday.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL FOR MONTGOMERY
COUNTY, MARYLAND, that -
Sec. 1. Section 2—7, title "Sundays and legal
holidays," of Chapter 2 of the Montgomery County Code
1965, as amended, is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
2—7. Sundays and legal holidays.
Whenever under this Code the last day for the
performance of any act falls on a Sunday or a legal
holiday, then such act may be performed on the next
succeeding day that does not fall on a Sunday or legal
holiday.
