COUNTY LOCAL LAWS

90-12. Violations of chapter; penalties and injunctive,
etc., relief.

Any person who violates any provision of this
chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon
conviction thereof, shall be fined not to exceed one
hundred dollars or imprisoned not more than six months.
Each day such violations shall continue shall be deemed a
separate offense. In addition, the county may institute
injunctive, mandamus or other appropriate action or
proceedings pursuant to section 2—24 of this Code to
prevent any violation of this chapter.

Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect on the 76th day
following the date on which it becomes law.

Chapter 7

AN ACT to amend Chapter 106, title "Taxicabs," of the
Montgomery County Code 1965, as amended, by
repealing and re—enacting, with amendments, Section
106—34, title "Penalty for violations of chapter;
injunctive, etc., relief," to provide for a penalty
of not more than one hundred dollars for each
offense.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL FOR MONTGOMERY
COUNTY, MARYLAND, that -

Sec. 1. Section 106-34, Chapter 106, title
"Taxicabs," of the Montgomery County Code 1965, as
amended, is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

106—34. Penalty for violations of chapter;
injunctive, etc., relief.

Any person violating any term, condition or
provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof,
be punished by a fine of not more than one hundred
dollars for each offense.

In addition, the provisions of this chapter may be

enforced by mandamus or injunction or any other

appropriate remedy at law or equity in any court of
competent jurisdiction.
