Sec. 4. This Act shall take effect on the 76th day
following the date on which it becomes law.

Chapter 3

AN ACT to amend Chapter 1, title "General Provisions," of
the Montgomery County Code 1965, as amended, by
amending Section 1—3, title "Definitions and rules
of construction," thereof to include among the
definitions the definition of County Executive and
Chief Administrative Officer.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL FOR MONTGOMERY
COUNTY, MARYLAND, that -

Sec. 1. Section 1—3, title "Definitions and rules of
construction," of Chapter 1 of the Montgomery County Code
1965, as amended, is hereby amended to include among the
definitions the following:

County Executive. The words County Executive shall
mean the County Executive for Montgomery County,
Maryland.

Chief Administrative Officer. The words Chief
Administrative officer shall mean the duly appointed
Chief Administrative Officer of Montgomery County,
Maryland.

Sec. 2. This Act shall take effect on the 76th day
following the date on which it becomes law.

Chapter 4

AN ACT to amend Chapter 1, title "General Provisions," of
the Montgomery County Code 1965, as amended, by
repealing and re—enacting without objection, Section
1—17, title "Same - Penalty for violation of
preceding section," to delete an obsolete reference
to trail magistrate and Circuit Court.
