HOWARD COUNTY
COUNCIL OF HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND, that this Act shall
take effect sixty (60) days after its enactment.
This Bill, having been approved by the Executive and
returned to the Council, stands enacted on June 13, 1973.
Council Bill No. 38
AN ACT to repeal and re—enact with amendments Section
16.305 of the Howard County Code. Title "Board of
Appeals," subtitle "Enforcement," AND SECTION 16.208
TITLE "ZONING" SUBTITLE "ENFORCEMENT," in order to
provide for the enforcement of decisions of the
Board of Appeals, AND THE ZONING BOARD in zoning
matters by zoning enforcement officer or his
designated representatives.
Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND, that Sections 16.305 and and
16.208 of the Howard County Code be and are hereby
repealed and re—enacted with amendments to read as
follows;
16.305 Enforcement
In addition to any other remedies provided by law,
the zoning enforcement officer OR HIS DESIGNATED
REPRESENTATIVE may institute any appropriate action or
proceedings to compel compliance with a decision of the
Board of Appeals in any zoning matter.
[Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED BY THE COUNTY
COUNCIL OF HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND, that this Act shall
take effect sixty (60) days after its enactment.]
16.20 8 Enforcement
Any violation of the rules, regulations and
restrictions adopted pursuant to this title shall be a
misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed one
hundred dollars (100.00). Any person who shall violate
such rules, regulations and restrictions shall be deemed
guilty of a separate offence for every day that such
violation shall continue. In addition to other remedies,
the zoning enforcement officer OR HIS DESIGNATED
REPRESENTATIVES may institute any appropriate action or
proceedings or compel compliance with the zoning
regulations and restrictions adopted pursuant to this
