HOWARD COUNTY
Council Bill No. 2 3

AN ACT to repeal and re—enact with amendments Section
20.304 of the Howard County titled "Taxation and
Public Credit," subtitles "Assessment, Levy and Tax
Bills," subtitle 3, "Water and Sewer Charges and
Assessments", subheading, "Public Fire Hydrant
Charge," to provide that the County Council of
Howard County shall annually establish the fire
hydrant charge to be paid from the general funds of
the County to Metropolitan District Fund.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND that Section 20.304 of the Howard
County Code, titles "Taxation and Public Credit,"
subtitle 3, "Water and Sewer Charge Assessments,"
subheading, "Public Fire Hydrant Charge," is hereby
repealed and re—enacted to read as follows:

20.304 Public Fire Hydrant Charge.

There is hereby established a public fire hydrant
charge [of Ten Dollars ($10.00) which charge] which shall
be paid annually from the general funds of the County
into the Metropolitan District funds, AS BAY BE
DETERMINED BY RESOLUTION OF THE COUNTY COUNCIL ADOPTED AT
THE TIME OF THE ADOPTION OF THE ANNUAL BUDGET AND
APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE OF HOWARD COUNTY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED BY THE COUNTY
COUNCIL OF HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND, that this Act shall
take effect sixty (60) days after its enactment.

This Bill, having been approved by the Executive and
returned to the Council, stands enacted on May 15, 1973.

Council Bill No. 24

AN ACT to add new Section 18.201A to Title 18 of the
Howard County Code, "Public Works," subtitle "Public
Utilities" to follow immediately after Section
18.201 thereof and to be under the new subheading
"Metropolitan District: Incorporation of Existing
Parcels within the Perimeter of the Metropolitan
District" for the purpose facilitating the
connection of properties which require water and
sewer service.
