provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to
any person or circumstance is held invalid for any
reason, such invalidity shall not affect the other
provisions or any other application of this ordinance
which can be given effect without the invalid provisions
or application, and to this end, all the provisions of
this ordinance are hereby declared to be severable.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Ordinance shall take effect forty—five (45) days from the
date it becomes law.

AN ORDINANCE to repeal Section 1-200 (a) of the Anne
Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements) ,
Title 1, "Administration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel",
Article I, "Exempt Service", and to enact new
Section 1—200 (a) in lieu thereof, to stand in the
place of the Section repealed to change the salary
grades of certain County Employees in the Executive
Pay Plan, to alphabetize the positions in the
Executive Pay Plan, and matters generally related
thereto.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY,, MARYLAND, That Section 1-200 (a) of
the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and
Supplements), Title 1, "Administration", Subtitle 2,
"Personnel", Article I, "Exempt Service", be, and it is
hereby repealed, and that new Section 1—200 (a) be, and
it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in the
place of the Section repealed, and to read as follows:

SECTION 1-200

(A) SALARY GRADES. THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS
(OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES) IN THE EXEMPT SERVICE SHALL
RECEIVE COMPENSATION AT THE INDICATED SALARY GRADE:
