AN ORDINANCE to repeal Section 9-300 of the Anne Arundel
County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 9,
"Finance", Subtitle 3, "Appropriations", to
eliminate the reserve fund for permanent public
improvements from the annual budget and
appropriation ordinance, and to discontinue the
practice of automatic payments of surplus into said
fund after June 30, 1973.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 9-300 of the
Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements),
Title 9, "Finance", Subtitle 3, "Appropriations", be, and
it is hereby repealed.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of this Ordinance shall not affect any
automatic appropriations of cash surplus made to said
fund prior to June 30, 1973.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Ordinance shall take effect forty—five (45) days from the
date it becomes law.

AN ORDINANCE to add new Section 14-304(d) to the Anne
Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements),
Title 14, "Police", Subtitle 3, "Police and Fire
Service Retirement", to follow immediately after
Section 14-304(c) thereof, to provide for increased
Police and Fire Service Retirement benefits, and
matters generally related thereto.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 14-304(d) be,
and it is hereby added to the Anne Arundel County Code,
(1967 Edition and Supplements) , Title 14, "Police",
Subtitle 3, "Police and Fire Service Retirement", to
follow immediately after Section 14—304(c) thereof, to
read as follows:
