(D) THE MONTHLY PENSION PAYABLE TO AN ELIGIBLE
PARTICIPANT'S SPOUSE, CHILD OR CHILDREN UNDER
EIGHTEEN(18) YEARS OF AGE, BENEFICIARY OR CONTINGENT
ANNUITANT SHALL BE INCREASED OR DECREASED TO REFLECT
CHANGES IN THE CONSUMER PRICE INDEX IN A MANNER
CONSISTENT WITH THE PRECEDING PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION.
FOR ANY PAYEE ENUMERATED IN THIS SUBSECTION WHO WAS
RECEIVING A MONTHLY PENSION PRIOR TO THE EFFECTIVE DATE
OF THIS PROVISION, SAID MONTHLY PENSION SHALL BE
INCREASED AS OF JULY 1ST FOLLOWING THE EFFECTIVE DATE BY
THE PERCENTAGE THAT THE CURRENT AVERAGE INDEX EXCEEDS THE
CORRESPONDING AVERAGE INDEX AS OF JULY 1, 1973.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Ordinance shall take effect forty—five (45) days from the
date it becomes law.

AN ORDINANCE to repeal Sections 14-303(c)(3) and
14-303(d) of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967
Edition and Supplements), Title 14, "Police",
Subtitle 3, "Police and Fire Service Retirement",
and to repeal and re—enact, with amendments.
Sections 14-303(c)(4) and (e) of said Code, Title
and Subtitle, to remove the limitation on income
which may be earned by a disable participant of the
Police and Fire Retirement Fund; and matters
generally related thereto.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Sections 14-303(c)(3)
and 14—303(d) of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967
Edition and Supplement), Title 14, "Police", Subtitle 3,
"Police and Fire Service Retirement", be, and they are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Sections
14-303(c)(4) and (e) of said Code, Title and Subtitle,
be, and they are hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
Section 14-303(c)
(4) Subsections (1) [,] AND (2) [and (3)] of this
subsection shall not be applicable to any participant
once his disability pension has been in effect for more
