ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY

THE STRUCTURE SHOULD BE ERECTED ON A SLAB OR CRAWL SPACE
FOUNDATION, THE CONDUCTOR SHALL BE EXTENDED SIX INCHES
(6") ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE FOUNDATION WALL. THIS METHOD
OF GROUNDING WILL TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER ALL OTHERS. IN
AREAS OF UNUSUAL SOIL CONDITIONS AND WHEN UNIQUE
CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES ARE EMPLOYED THUS REQUIRING THE
USE OF AN ELECTRODE SYSTEM OTHER THAN THE CONCRETE
ENCASED SYSTEM, GROUND SYSTEMS AS ESTABLISHED IN ARTICLE
250, NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE SHALL BE USED, SUBJECT TO
THE APPROVAL OF THE DIRECTOR OF INSPECTIONS AND PERMITS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Ordinance shall take effect forty—five (45) days from the
date it becomes law.

AN ORDINANCE to repeal and re—enact, with amendments,
Section 1—211.3 of the Anne Arundel County Code
(1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 1,
"Administration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel", Article
II, "Classified Service", to provide for call—in pay
for employees represented by the Anne Arundel County
Professional Fire Fighters Local 1563, International
Association of Fire Fighters (I.A.F.F.) AFL-CIO—CLC,
and matters generally related thereto.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY,   MARYLAND, That Section 1-211.3 of

the Anne Arundel      County Code (1967 Edition and

Supplements), Title     1, "Administration", Subtitle 2,

"Personnel", Article   II, "Classified Service", be, and it

is hereby repealed     and re—enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

Section 1—211.3. Call-in pay.

(A) An employee in a position of a class subject
to the hourly pay schedule or below grade 16 subject to
the annual pay schedule, who is directed by competent,
authority to report for work on emergency assignment
outside his regular work schedule shall be paid at the
applicable hourly rate for all hours of work on such
employee's assignment, but in no event shall the amount
of pay earned for such emergency assignments in any one
twenty—four (24) hour period be less than the equivalent
of four (4) hours pay at such employee's regular straight
