SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Ordinance shall, take effect forty—five (45) days from the
date it becomes law.

AN ORDINANCE to repeal and re—enact, with amendments,
Section 13-343.2(c) of the Anne Arundel County Code
(1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 13, "Planning
and Zoning", Subtitle 3, "Alternate Zoning
Regulations", Article XI, "Special Exceptions",
Heading, "Specific Standards", Subheading, "Other
Special Exceptions", and to add new Section 13—343.2
(g) to said Code, Title, Subtitle, Article, Heading
and Subheading, to follow immediately after Section
13—343.2 (f) thereof, to clarify the minimum
standards for measuring the distance of
establishments selling alcoholic beverages from a
church or school.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 13-343.2 (c)
of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and
Supplements), Title 13, "Planning and Zoning", Subtitle
3, "Alternate Zoning Regulations", Article XI, "Special
Exceptions", Heading, "Specific Standards", Subheading,
"Other Special Exceptions", be, and it is hereby repealed
and re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Section 13-343.2
(c) Taverns shall be permitted in C1, C2, C3 and
C4 Commercial Districts, and Town Center Zones, in
accordance with the provisions of this article. [Such use
shall be located not less than one thousand feet
(1,000'), measured in a straight line from entry to entry
of any church or school.]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 13—343.2 (g) be,, and it is hereby added to said
Code, Title, Subtitle, Article, Heading and Subheading,
to follow immediately after Section 13—343.2 (f) thereof,
and to read as follows:
