RIVERDALE

a citizen of the United States and a registered voter in
the Town of Riverdale and shall have resided within the
corporate limits of the Town for at least six months
prior to his election.

-14.33. Compensation of Mayor

On and after June 1, 1973, the Mayor shall be
compensated at the rate of $150 per month to be paid
monthly by the Town Treasurer. Any change in the rate of
salary, either by way of increase or decrease may be made
by ordinance at any regular Council meeting provided
however that any such change made shall begin on June 1st
following the annual town election.

—14.34. Powers and Duties
-14.341. Generally

The Mayor of the Town shall be the Chief Executive
of Administrative Officer thereof. He shall have all
the powers necessary to see that the ordinances of the
Town are faithfully executed.

-14.342. Appointments

The Mayor, with the approval of majority vote of the
Council, shall appoint or employ heads of all offices,
departments and agencies including Appeal Boards and such
other personnel as may be necessary for the proper
administration of the government of the Town, as
established by this Charter, or by ordinance or
resolution.

—14.343. Reports and Recommendations to the Council

The Mayor each year shall regularly report to    the

Council the condition of municipal affairs and make   such

recommendations as he deems proper for the public     good
and the welfare of the Town.

—14.344. Supervision of financial administration of
government

The Mayor shall have complete supervision over the
financial administration of the Town government. He
shall prepare or have prepared annually a budget and
submit it to the Council. He shall supervise the
administration of the budget as adopted by the Council.
He shall supervise the disbursement of all monies and
have control over expenditures to assure that budget
appropriations are not exceeded.
