public hearing the Mayor and Councilmen will proceed to
adopt or reject said Resolution, and if adopted, that the
enlargement of the corporate boundaries of The City of
Frostburg shall become effective on the 15th day of
November, 1973, unless a petition for referendum thereon
shall be filed as permitted by law.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That as soon as the
enlargement of the corporate boundaries of The City of
Frostburg shall become effective, either as herein
provided or following a referendum, the Mayor shall
promptly register both the original boundaries and the
new boundaries with the City Clerk of Frostburg, with the
Director of the Hall of Records, with the Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Allegany County, and with the Director
of the Department of Legislative Reference.

Effective Date: November 15, 1973.

A PROPOSED CHARTER AMENDMENT

ENTITLED

A RESOLUTION to repeal Sections 109 through Sections
119 AT both inclusive of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Wicomico County, 1965 Edition, as amended, said Sections
comprising the Charter of the Town of Fruitland, and to
re—enact in place thereof new Sections 119 through 129
both inclusive, said new sections constituting a revised
Charter for Fruitland; said revised Charter changes the
name of the municipality to the City of Fruitland, but
not its boundaries, enumerates the corporate powers of
the city, provides specific administrative duties for
councilmen, provides for the future creation of
departments and agencies of government; specifies exactly
the financial and budgetary procedures of the city and
provides for public hearings thereon before adoption of
